Member Services Coordinator
Bill’s involvement with Back on my Feet began as a volunteer in 2011. That fall, between his third and upcoming forth marathons it was the BoMF members who were motivating Bill to get back on his feet after hip surgery. Bill realized then his life was changing; “I was taught the joy of running through other’s accomplishments, not my own, witnessing members complete their first 5K, Half or Relay is indescribable”.
Facing a career crossroads earlier in 2017 Bill decided that business as usual was not enough and it was now or never to make a change. A short but winding road brought him to his current position with Back on My Feet Dallas/ Fort Worth as Member Services Coordinator and he is grateful for this opportunity.

Workforce Development Coordinator
Emily Johnson joined Back on My Feet in June 2018 as the Dallas chapter’s Workforce Development Coordinator. She has experience working and volunteering in the nonprofit sector with vulnerable populations from all walks of life. As Emily has received her Master of Social Work with a concentration in Global Community Development from Samford University, she has expertise in economic development, equine assisted therapeutic services, and program implementation.
Emily was a college athlete on the Northwestern State University of Louisiana volleyball team where she received her Bachelor of Science. “I have always loved being active and playing sports. Volleyball is still one of my biggest passions and was definitely my stress reliever, motivation, and personal encouragement for many years. I truly believe that running, exercise, and teamwork can create this same sense of belonging and motivation for those rebuilding their lives and looking for a fresh start. I love in the mission of Back on My Feet and am thrilled to get to be a part of our members journeys!”
